## About this style

Economical slightly wavering black lines summarize contours, with sparse gray wash adding only essential tone. Blank paper and modest proportional exaggeration lend gentle humor to gestures, expressions and relationships.

A single-panel cartoon makes gestures and relationships immediately readable.

A slightly oversized sitter on a tiny chair can suggest awkward humor through proportion and a handful of gray marks.

### How the style changes different subjects

- **Portrait**: Elastic limbs and exaggerated expressions give figures a light, humorous quality.

- **Landscape**: Simplified buildings and plants gain personality through curved contours.

- **Object**: Exaggerated handles, legs and proportions can make everyday objects seem animated.

**Subjects**: Choose active figures, pets, everyday tools or compact scenes with simple, expressive silhouettes.

## Reusable style prompt

```text
Draw the image as a light newspaper gag cartoon. Economical, slightly wavering black pen lines summarize the contours, with gently exaggerated proportions and a few expressive short marks for identifying details. Add sparse gray wash only where tonal support is needed. Preserve abundant blank paper and explain the existing spatial relationships with simple lines, deriving humor from shape rhythm and subtle gesture rather than added narrative.
